In 2002, Brooke Sobel, inspired by her worldly travels through Southeast Asia and Central America, decided to start a company in handbags and accessories. Sobella was born. Brooke’s Sobella Handbags grace the bodies of A-list celebrities like Julia Roberts and Eva Longoria. The Sobella Handbags line has appeared in the pages of US Weekly, InStyle, Oprah, and Teen Vogue to name a few.
Cultivating relationships is an integral factor to the success of Sobella. Brooke says that, “Though the product is important, my relationships with people are very important, as well. It’s these relationships, and cultivating them, that occupy a large percentage of the designer’s day." Brooke admits that there is no such thing as a typical day when you’re in the handbag biz. “What you think would be your day often turns out to be something totally different."
Inspiration for each Sobella Handbag design starts with the latest fashion direction from Italy. They are based in Arezzo, the gateway to Tuscany. The Sobella Handbag line is inspired by the beauty, mystery and history of Italy. The styles are functional, clean and flowing. They are designed from sumptuous leathers or uniquely woven fabrics.
